Rev. Greene, our pastor, was born and raised in Liberia. He earned a Bachelor of Theology (B-TH) from the Gbarnga School of Theology, United Methodist University, in Liberia. He was ordained as a clergy in 1998. He migrated to the United States in 2002. He holds a Master of Divinity (M Div) from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Rev. Greene also obtained a Master of Arts in Sustainable Development (MA SD) from the School of International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont. Rev. Greene holds a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education from the Albany Medical Center, Upstate New York, where he served as Resident Chaplain from 2011 – 2012.
Rev. Greene is happily married to Soleh Nagbe-Greene and their union is blessed with three wonderful children: Emai, Aloysious, and Esau, Jr. Their grandson, Baba lives with them presently. Rev. Greene has served with the New York Annual Conference for fifteen years. He looks forward to a cordial working relationship with the Epworth UMC family.
